Setup
Drop balls in heavy rough behind trees with a clear sideways exit. Mark a safe layup zone with tees.
Drill Instructions
Choose the safest exit and commit to a strong, steep chop that guarantees advancement to the zone. Don’t get greedy—focus on your next full shot yardage. Repeat with different exits.

9/10 balls finish in the safe zone with a clear next shot.
Make It Easier
Widen the safe zone and choose lighter rough.
Coach Tip
A great bogey beats a hero double—own the smart play.
Make It Harder
Narrow the zone and add a must-stop-before-hazard rule.
Avoid
Aiming at small gaps you can’t control from rough.
