Gate and Go Mid-Putt

10-20 min Solo Putting Gate, Alignment Sticks, Golf Balls
Setup
Set an alignment stick on your chosen line. Place a putting gate 12–18 inches in front of the ball just wider than your putter face.
Drill Instructions
Hit sets of 10 putts from 10–15 feet, each one required to pass cleanly through the gate. Adjust the gate slightly for breaking putts to match your read. Track makes and gate hits separately.
Goal
Gate success ≥80% and hole at least 4/10 from each station.
Make It Easier
Move closer (8–10 feet) and widen the gate slightly.
Coach Tip
Aim the face first, then set your feet and shoulders to the line—face controls start line.
Make It Harder
Narrow the gate and add an intermediate spot 6 inches beyond it to roll over.
Avoid
Over-accelerating through impact; it pushes the ball.
