Bank Shot Backstop
10-20 min Partner Golf Balls, Towel, Tees
Setup
Pick a hole with a backstop slope. Place a towel as your desired bank point.
Drill Instructions
Land shots into the slope to deaden speed, experimenting with different landing heights and spin. Take turns with a partner calling the exact bank point. Score a point for landing on towel and leaving inside 3 feet.
Goal
First to 7 points or 60% inside 3 feet solo.
Make It Easier
Use a steeper backstop and larger towel.
Coach Tip
Using contours is the safest way to get close from awkward angles.
Make It Harder
Flatter backstop and smaller towel; require 2-foot circle.
Avoid
Flying it pin-high into a downslope; it will release too far.
