Green-Read Clock Drill

10-20 min Solo Tees, Golf Balls, Chalk Line (optional)
Setup
Choose a sloped hole and mark 8 tee stations at 6–12 feet around it (clock positions).
Drill Instructions
Start at 6 o'clock (straight uphill) to calibrate pace, then move clockwise. State your read aloud, pick a specific apex, and roll the putt holding your finish. Track makes and note whether misses are high/low; adjust on the next lap.
Goal
Two full laps with 50% makes overall and no consecutive low-side misses.
Make It Easier
Use 6–8 foot stations on a gentler slope.
Coach Tip
Play more break with dying speed and less break with firmer speed—decide before addressing.
Make It Harder
Extend to 12–15 feet and require 60% high-side misses or better.
Avoid
Aiming at the hole on sidehill putts; pick a precise spot on the high side.
